Real World Problems. Real World Solutions.

Every project comes with its own fire protection challenges, and not all of them are planned. Our case studies highlight how Global Fireproof Solutions, Inc. delivers practical, effective solutions in real-world conditions. From pre-construction material treatments to on-site applications that resolve last-minute inspection issues, we work where timelines are tight and performance is critical.

Whether supporting new builds or stepping in to address fire protection gaps late in the process, our team brings the expertise and responsiveness needed to keep projects moving forward. These projects demonstrate our ability to solve complex problems, meet code requirements, and deliver reliable protection when time, cost, and compliance are all on the line.

GFS FIELD CASE STUDY:
INSPECTION REJECTION.

At Global, we solve fire protection problems, even after construction. Case in point? A municipal building in Florida recently approached final inspection and everything appeared on track…until it wasn’t.

Inspectors identified a critical issue: a required 1-hour fire-rated wall assembly had been compromised. The gypsum wall terminated at the bottom flange of a structural steel I-beam, leaving the beam unprotected and breaking the continuity of the fire-resistance barrier. The result was immediate: a failed inspection at the worst possible time. At this stage, traditional solutions weren’t practical. Rebuilding the wall to fully encase the steel would have meant tearing into completed work, navigating limited access, and introducing costly delays. The project needed a solution that worked within the reality of a nearly finished structure.

Global Fireproof Solutions responded with a targeted, field-applied approach, installing an intumescent fireproofing system directly to the exposed steel beam - engineered to achieve the required 1-hour fire-resistance rating and aligned with ASTM and UL standards. Working within a built-out environment required precision. Our team carefully protected adjacent materials, applied the coating in tight and obstructed areas, and ensured the proper thickness and uniform coverage needed for full compliance.

Result? Site visit within 1 day. Completion in 4 days. No reconstruction required. This project is a clear example of how fire protection challenges don’t have to derail progress.
